FORROS
Plants Trees in North Beach Bosque
Natural
Resources Conservation Service provided 24 cottonwood, 10 New
Mexico olive and 20 coyote willow poles and one black willow
pole for planting in the newly-cleared North Beach bosque. Volunteers
from FORROS planted the trees and wrapped the cottonwoods with
chickenwire to protect them from the beavers. More trees will
be planted when they become available.
Holes
for the trees had to be deep enough to reach the water table.
These were drilled using equipment and personnel from the City
of Rio Rancho
