On
Dec. 4, students from University of New Mexico's "Making
a Difference" class came to the middle bosque
to clean up trash. The class is co-taught by Glenda Balas
and Jack Trujillo. They worked for about three hours and
took
a huge load to the Rio Rancho landfill. Our bosque is a much
cleaner place thanks to this Freshmen Learning Community.

Old
tires and pvc pipe are loaded into the truck for removal
to the landfill. |

Just
what do you do with a pickup bed buried half way in
the ground. |

It
took a lot of digging to get to the bottom of the bed--about
three feet deep. |

Finally
it is out and ready for a trip to the landfill |
