On
February 1 Southwest Interface Solutions Company (SWISCO)
started clearing 8 1/2 acres along the
Venada Arroyo at the north end of the Willow Creek Bosque.They
are cutting the trees, then treating the stumps
with herbicide to kill the roots. This is the same method
used in the Middle Bosque 23 acres. Funding is provided through
Southern Sandoval County Arroyo Flood Control Authority. Work
should be completed by the end of the month.
