Volunteers are need to help in the following area.

  1. Administration:
    Reports on grants
    Recruiting advisors
    Liability and insurance issues
    Names committees
    Studies contracts
    Legal advice
    Office issues
    Open space planning
  2. Public Relations:
    Liaison with media, schools, Rio Rancho and other municipaliti4es and
    pueblos, homeowner’s associations, and politicians.
    Attending meetings
    Education
    Presentation tools
    Wildlife and environmental issues
  3. Operations:
    Purchasing – equipment, herbicides, tools
    Supervising work – contract and volunteers
    Equipment maintenance and storage
    Replanting
    Rio Rancho open space planning
    Vegetation control
    Herbicides training
  4. Technical:
    Liaison with state, Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation, Fish &
    Wildlife, U.S. Department of Agriculture and New Mexico Game and Fish
    Attend Meetings
    Replanting
    Scientific Expertise (biologist and historian)
    Open space planning
    Herbicides training
    Wildlife and environmental issues
  5. Finance:
    Apply for grants
    Fund Raising
    Cost control
